We have
a new Denver Visual Studio User Group on LinkedIn -
Jobs and Networking!
LinkedIn
is a
business-oriented
social network service largely geared towards professional adults with "real world" relationships.
We have added our Group on LinkedIn to benefit YOU, our user
group members. Many of you, including those who post jobs, are
already members of LinkedIn, this will expand your relationships
in your network. For those of you new to LinkedIn, this will
provide you an opportunity to build new relationships in your
network. We have streamlined our Group site on LinkedIn to make
it easier for you to participate.
How do I read and/or post job opportunities for user group members?
How do I build my
own online network through LinkedIn and Join our Group on
LinkedIn? You may read
and/or post job
opportunities by joining
LinkedIn
and then joining our Denver Visual
Studio User Group on
LinkedIn. You will then have access to our complete
Group on LinkedIn, including our Jobs. You can also build your own
online network through LinkedIn.
Important
Difference: Our Denver Visual Studio User Group on LinkedIn, including
our Jobs, is separate from and subordinate to our primary Denver Visual
Studio User Group on our web site -- to join our primary User Group,
visit our web site
here.
Multiply: Our former “Denver Visual Studio User Group
Jobs (DVSUGJobs)”
site on Multiply is closed to new entries and new
members. That site will
remain available for read only, until February 28, 2010. Note:
None of the jobs posted on Multiply will be moved to our new
Group on LinkedIn. LinkedIn features are far superior to Multiply for use
by YOU, our user group members.
Build Relationships: We have moved our job posting site
from Multiply to LinkedIn;
however, even if you do not have an interest in job postings,
LinkedIn has much to offer you as a professional through
networking features. The
year 2009 will likely be known as the year that
professional/social networking went mainstream. Our job posting
strategy is to position our user group in the best possible
place to benefit our members. Our goal is to leverage
cross-promotional job opportunities that make both our members
and job posters more attractive to each other on a professional,
easy-to-use, widely accessed platform. LinkedIn provides those
features which make our strategy come to life and makes our goal
a reality. In addition, LinkedIn provides a vast array of
professional networking opportunities which are now available to
our members. Putting these tools to work greatly expands our
ability to build relationships as members of our user group.
For
questions or comments, send to our LinkedIn Group Managers (great thanks
for their support):

Wallace,

We look forward to building our
relationships and our network through our new Group on LinkedIn.
We invite you to join us now!
