jQuery is a lightweight
open source JavaScript library (only 15kb in size) that in a
relatively short span of time has become one of the most
popular libraries on the web. This cross-browser
library is designed to simplify the client-side scripting of
HTML.
Visual Studio 2010 is the first
version of Visual Studio to ship JQuery as a native part of
the ASP.NET solution set. By default, when you create new
ASP.NET Web Forms and ASP.NET MVC projects with VS 2010
youll find jQuery automatically added to your project.
This means that now is the
time to become familiar with jQuery and discover how
this powerful library can help you build the applications
you need.
