Software Testing - Write Better Tests
Write Better Tests
with Dave Rael, Software Creator, Podcaster, Architect, and Philosopher

"Write good tests and spend your time understanding and expressing the problem at hand, rather than wrestling with a testing maintenance nightmare." Dave Rael
Testing promises to make life better for developers, testers, businesses, and users in many ways -- testing often fails to deliver on this promise! It's common for a test suite to be a hindrance rather than a boon to the value, quality, and productivity delivered by a team.
If you have experienced the pain of maintaining a large set of tests where it costs more to keep the tests up to date than it does to rewrite large swaths of functionality, you are not alone. There are many causes and many problems that contribute to this pit of despair.
Learn how you can write better tests and make sure your tests help develop your design and make your design explicit.

   Dave Rael
Dave Rael  Dave Rael is the host of the Developer On Fire podcast.
He is, first and foremost, a father of 3 wonderful children. That is the role in which he takes the most joy and gets the most benefit.
He is also a husband, podcaster, software developer and architect, and a philosopher. When hes not playing with kids, recording and listening to his own voice, or building distributed systems, he likes to play basketball and racquetball, and lift weights.
"My mission is to inspire others, expose the humanity of developers, improve communication and unify humans."
