Lessons Learned on DevOps

Lessons Learned on DevOps
with
Dave McKinstry, Program Manager, Azure DevOps, Microsoft

Microsoft is a massive software development company. But over the past decade they have learned how to effectively deliver resilient high-scale services to their customers at a ‘cloud cadence.’

Now, you can learn to take advantage of their experiences.

Come and join us as we talk through that evolution and the lessons learned along the way. We’ll cover everything from organizational structure, teams and roles through dynamic infrastructure, automated testing and CI/CD. We will also show the Microsoft live production development environment and answer questions about “how the sausage is made.”

You will take away the best practices learned and know that those techniques work in the real-world!

The New Xamarin Getting Started Experience
with Chris Wallace, co-presenting and co-leading the discussion
and
YOU, Our Denver Visual Studio User Group Members

We will continue with our fast-paced session with another in a series discussing the fundamentals of the using Visual Studio and Development Technologies.

Note: We will be looking at the brand new getting started experience for iOS and Android with Xamarin. The new getting started enables developers to get up and running just a few minutes using their iOS or Android device with the Xamarin Live Player. Make changes and see your app come to life right from Visual Studio or Visual Studio for Mac. We will discuss whether this is really helpful or just another way to do the same thing. We may, time permitting, view a portion of a Channel 9 video on this subject.

Interested? Come early and join us in our  casual discussion before our meeting begins.
